The Eureka High School Literary Magazine

This site is currently under construction, as a new teacher to the district, Miss O'Connor in room 407, has been appointed as Faculty Editor.

We publish original pieces of student writing that demonstrate the high standard of excellence that Eureka High School is famous for:  song lyrics; poems; foreign language pieces; short stories; novel excerpts; creative letters or journals; humorous lists; original comedy; parodies; short or extended writing topics from various classes such as History, English, Science; and more.  We also include original pieces of student artwork in our “gallery” insert.

We will enter our publication for the first time since we can remember in the state competition!  Our publication will also be available and publicized to not only our students, staff, and parents but to the greater community also.  It is very possible to see a copy of our lit mag in a doctor’s office or licensing office in the Eureka area while you're waiting for your appointment or renewing your driver's license!

Meetings will be held at the start of second semester, as first semester will primarily be spent generating submissions this year.  In our inauguration year, we're waiting until we have material for our meetings.  Interested members may participate as part of our publication staff – but not in a student editorial position – through consulting with Miss O'Connor during free time.

Following the nominations and elections of student editors, pictures, duties, and dates will be added to our web site to groundbreak its initiation!

We hope you will be a part of our staff and/or a contributing author or artist to our magazine!
